GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The city of Grand Rapids is accepting development proposals for the former Naval and Marine Corps Center.
The center is located along the Grand River near Riverside Park and has been vacant for five years.
The city is trying to buy the land from the federal government for redevelopment. Proposals will be accepted through October 17.
The city could vote on ideas as early as November.
