GR City Commission approves pay increases for GRPD

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The Grand Rapids City Commission is approving pay increases for the Grand Rapids Police Department.

The commission approved a labor agreement with the city and unions representing command officers, officers and crime scene technicians.

The agreement will run through June 2028.

Officers, sergeants, crime scene technicians and latent print examiners will receive a four percent pay raise effect July 1, 2025. Retroactive backpay is included.
