Steps are being taken by the officials towards redesigning the US 131/Wealthy Street Interchange in Grand Rapids.
Back in 2022, city leaders accepted a $10 million Michigan Economic Development Corporation grant that would be used to consider other possibilities for the interchange.
The goal is that a redesigned interchange would improve traffic operations and safety, as well as pedestrian circulation and first responder operations.
