GR Commission Night Out "Trash Talk" to take place Tuesday

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The Grand Rapids City Commission is asking residents to attend the second Commission Night Out of the year and talk all things trash.

Before the official city commission meeting begins, residents will be able to talk all things waste-related as well as enjoy family-friendly activities, a free dinner and a chance to win free trash services, pavilions rentals and tabletop compost containers.

The meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 29 at the Gerald R. Ford Academic Center at 851 Madison Ave. SE. Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. Dinner will be provided by Eastern Deli at 4:45 p.m.

The "Trash Talk" session will begin at 5:30 p.m. City officials are looking to get residents' perspectives on all things trash, garbage, recycling, yard waste and more. Individuals will also get a sneak peek at proposed projects that are being discussed.

The City Commission meeting will begin at 7 p.m.
