MSP trooper saves 4-year-old found in Hess Lake

BROOKS TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- Michigan State Police say a trooper revived a child who was found face-down in Hess Lake on Saturday evening.

Police were called to the area around 9:15 p.m. Trooper Casey Deater says when she arrived on scene, she found the four-year-old boy not breathing.

Deater started chest compressions and the boy began coughing and spitting up water. The boy was taken to the hospital and is expected to be okay.
