Organizations in West Michigan are taking part in National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.
Individuals can brin unwanted prescription or over-the-counter medications, vitamins, pet medications, needles and syringes to drop off anonymously at locations in the area.
The collection days are an effort to reduce medication misuse and opioid addiction.
These locations will be open on Saturday, April 26 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.:
- Michigan State Police Wayland Post: 544 N Main St., Wayland
- Barry County Sheriff’s Department: 1212 W State St., Hastings
- Kent County Health Department: 700 Fuller Ave. NE, Grand Rapids
- Michigan State Police Grand Rapids Post #61: 2290 4 Mile Road NW, Grand Rapids
- Trinity Health Medical Center- Byron Center: 2373 64th St. SW, Byron Center
- Norton Shores Fire Department: 1100 E Pontaluna Rd., Norton Shores
- Corewell Health Zeeland Hospital: 8333 Felch Street, Zeeland
- Zeeland Police Department: 29 W. Main Street, Zeeland
