Two men facing charges for shooting death of Kalamazoo security guard

Two men are facing charges in connection to a shooting death of a security guard in Kalamazoo.

Kaiden Cole, a high school senior, is charged with open murder, felony firearm and carrying a concealed weapon for the death of 27-year-old Montine Wiley.

Damonte Jenkins-Gooden is charged with tampering with evidence and felony firearm.

The shooting happened just before 11 p.m. on Saturday in the parking lot of Green Door Distillery. Officials say a large crowd was waiting outside the bar and security was managing entries when a single gunshot was heard.
