The Grand Rapids Police are renewing a call for citizens to come forward with any tips they may have to help solve the January 2023 murder of Jontell White. The 30-year-old father of two children was gunned down along Division Avenue around 1:45 a.m. on January 14, 2023, between Rose and Stewart streets. Police officers who were patrolling the area at the time heard the gunshots, but the suspect fled before they arrived on the scene.
G-R-P-D Detective Brandon Romero says police spoke with many people who were outside the Metro Grand Rapids bar when the shooting happened, but they believe there are other witnesses out there.
