This Saturday, John Ball Zoo will be releasing monarch butterflies into the wild so that they can begin their migration journey as part of Monarch Day.
Alongside the several scheduled butterfly releases, the Zoo will also provide education about the role pollinators play within our ecosystems, and how everyone can do their part to help monarchs and other pollinator species flourish in the wild for years to come.
They will be releasing at the butterflies in intervals, with one at 11:30 a.m., another at 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
There will also be musical performances, character meet-and-greets, story time and more!
