Paws With A Cause begins $9.5M expansion

Paws With A Cause is beginning a $9.5 million renovation and expansion of its facility near Wayland.

The organization says the mission is about helping those in need and demand for service dogs has increased which means they need more space.

The nonprofit says the project will include updates to the training facility and a new housing center for dogs on the property.

The group serves 20 states and receive over 400 applications for an assistance dog a year.

Construction is estimated to take a year to complete.
