Grand Rapids cemetery cleaned up after vandalism

Grand Rapids city employees worked over the holiday weekend to clean gravestones that were vandalized in Woodlawn Cemetery last week.

Dozens of gravesites were damaged on Thursday evening.

Parks and Recreation director David Marquardt says basic cleanup was the first step and work will continue in the cemetery this week.

Grand Rapids Police say a person of interest has been identified.
