A man was injured when his brakes failed in Grand Haven Township, sending him through an intersection and careening him into two other cars.
According to a release, it all happened around 1:50 p.m. at US-131 and Comstock Street. The 19-year-old from Muskegon tried to brake at the intersection at Comstock Street and southbound US-131 but his brakes failed, causing him to hit a vehicle that was turning onto Comstock Street, and another that was stopped at a stoplight.
His vehicle continued to roll, going into a nearby Walmart parking lot, where it was then able to safely stop.
The 19-year-old was taken to the hospital with injuries not considered to be life-threatening.
The other drivers, a 75-year-old man and 59-year-old woman from Grand Haven were not harmed.
