GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - Democratic Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson says her home was "swatted" twice in a 48-hour span.
"Hateful rhetoric and violent threats have no place in our democracy," Benson said in a statement. "Swatting is a form of political violence that is horrific, dangerous and intended to terrify its victims."
Benson was the third Michigan politician targeted by swatting since the August primary.
Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin, a Democrat, and former Congressman Mike Rogers, a Republican, were previously hit.
No one was hurt.
