100th Coast Guard Festival expected to draw record crowd

The 100th year of the Grand Haven Coast Guard Festival kicks off Friday and officials are expecting record crowds.

The event began as a celebration for Coast Guard members and their families and has grown into a 10-day festival for the community.

The festival has drawn around 350,000 people in recent years.

Organizers have introduced a shuttle to help with parking issues this year.
