Windmill Island Gardens will be hosting their second annual Chalk the Walk event this Saturday.
From 1 p.m. to 3p.m., artists of all ages are invited to spend the day creating artwork and decorating the park's walkways with chalk creations while also enjoying some free frozen treats. Regular admission is $12 for adults and $6 for ages 3-15. Visitors can bring their own chalk with them from home, or purchase some at the event for just $1 while supplies last.
Professional artist Hallie LeBlanc will also be present to create 6 large chalk pieces drawn live, all inspired by the Windmill Island Gardens' summer them 'In Living Color', highlighting the beautiful flora and fauna such as flowers, birds and amphibians.
