Grand Rapids drivers were pulled over on Tuesday after attempting to use a parking lot to get around construction.
The intersection of Michigan Street and Fuller Avenue closed on Monday for emergency sanitary sewer repairs.
The closure is expected to last through August 2.
Detours are posted in the area, however some drivers are attempting to use a parking lot to cut through the area.
Grand Rapids Police pulled over at least seven cars in an hour and a half time frame on Tuesday.
