The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy says three Allegan County beaches have now been closed due to elevated levels of E. coli.
The water at Swan Lake, Gun Lake County Park Beach and Pier Cove Beach each have active advisories in place.
All three beaches are closed. The high bacteria levels were likely caused by storm water runoff.
