Suspects arrested for stolen car and credit cards

Kent County Sheriff's deputies have arrested five teenagers from Grand Rapids for allegedly stealing a vehicle and credit cards. They arrived in the parking lot of the Meijer store in Gaines Township yesterday evening on a report of suspicious activity.

They spotted the teens in a car and tried to make an arrest, but say the stolen car rammed the detectives' unmarked vehicles. The suspects then got out and started running. But with help from the Kentwood Police Department and the community, deputies were able to round up all five of them. They range in age from 16 to 20 years old.

The Kent County Prosecutor's Office is reviewing the case.
