W MI schools using grants for electric school buses

Several Michigan school districts are getting electric buses with the help of federal and state grants.

Hopkins Public Schools says the district bought three new clean-air buses in October 2023 with the help of a $1.2 million grant.

Three Rivers Community Schools upgraded to new electric buses and reported approximately $39,000 saved in fuel costs.

The Environmental Protection Agency's clean school bus program is giving $5 billion through 2026 to replace school buses with clean school buses.
