Kentwood Public Schools using grants for after-school program

Kentwood Public Schools are using three state grants to pay for after-school and summer learning programs.

The district and the city of Kentwood will receive $2.1 million a year through 2029.

The funding is coming from the Michigan Department of Education and Michigan Department of Lifelong Education, Advancement and Potential.

The ARCH program covers elementary through high school students and includes field trips, STEM learning, guest speakers and more.
