The Ottawa County Sheriff's Office is adding a new K-9 officer to the squad.
Deputy Travis Schippers and Ghost, a two-year-old Belgian Malinois, are currently in training.
Captain Jake Sparks says Ghost will specialize in article searches, narcotics detection, tracking, apprehension and protection of his handler.
The county currently has four K-9 officers.
