Corewell Health is asking the city of Grand Rapids to rename a road after the health care system.
Corewell is proposing that Fairbanks Street between Ionia and Bond avenues be renamed Corewell Drive.
The health system says they own all of the property on both sides of the road in that area.
A handful of residents spoke opposing the road rename at the City Commission meeting on Tuesday.
