GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - No one was hurt in a house fire that started on a porch on Pettibone Avenue in Grand Rapids.
It started before 6 p.m.
An adult and a child who live in a lower-floor apartment were home when it started. Another family member arrived, spotted the flames, and got them out safely before calling authorities.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. Gusty winds appear be a contributing factor.
