Former Ottawa County administrator John Gibbs is filing a lawsuit against the Ottawa County Board of Commissioners and the Board Chair, Joe Moss.
The lawsuit claims the board retaliated against Gibbs when he was fired in February.
Gibbs claims his freedom of speech, the Michigan Whistleblower Protection Act and the Michigan Defamation Law were violated by the board.
