The Grand Rapids Fire Department says a firefighter was injured while putting out a fire on the city's west side.
GRFD got reports of a fire above Web Bar on Richmond Street at Muskegon Avenue around 4:30 p.m.
Crews found heavy fire coming out of the apartment above the bar when they arrived on scene.
The residents and people in the bar were able to escape with no injuries.
One firefighter sustained burns to his ears and neck.
His injuries are minor.
