A West Michigan native is restoring Aretha Franklin's Detroit home.
Trevor Thomas was mesmerized with the home for years and purchased it with his partner earlier this year.

Thomas says they expressed interest for the home after Franklin died in 2019 and received a call asking if they were still interested this year.
Thomas is planning to convert the seven bedroom home into six bedrooms.
