The vice president of Travel Michigan is retiring at the end of the month.
Dave Lorenz has worked for the Michigan Economic Development Corporation for over 21 years.
He says the Pure Michigan campaign went beyond what they thought was possible.
Lorenz says the campaign started 18 years ago and has always focused on highlighting what makes the state unique.
