The Michigan Department of Natural Resources says a fundraising effort will expand access to state parks with additional track chairs.
The department had a goal of raising $400,000 to purchase the track chairs.
The DNR says $444,931 was raised over the last five years and ten state parks will be receiving track chairs as a result.
The chairs make the parks accessible to individuals who are in a wheelchair.
The chairs will now be available at Hoffmaster State Park, Holland State Park, Grand Haven State Park, Warren Dunes State Park, Mears State Park and Muskegon State Park.
