The University of Michigan is suspending head football coach Jim Harbaugh for three games.
UofM athletic director Warde Manuel says the suspension is a way to address mistakes that were made however they cannot comment further until the matter is resolved.
The suspension comes as the NCAA claims Harbaugh allegedly lied to and mislead investigators as they looked into a Level II recruiting violation.
Harbaugh will return to the sidelines for the team's Big Ten opening game against Rutgers on September 23rd.
A four-game suspension from the NCAA was rejected earlier this month and the investigation will now go to a hearing.
