GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - Travel that are planning to commute throughout West Michigan for Memorial Day weekend should expect to see less road construction.
The Michigan Department of Transportation says they will suspend just shy of two dozen projects as the pause will go into effect at 3 p.m. on Friday and will resume Tuesday morning.
MDOT Communications Specialist John Richard said all projects that will be paused will have all lanes and ramps open to commuters.
