The Steve and Amy Van Andel Foundation is donating funds to help students become nurses without worrying about the price tag of education.
Grand Rapids Community College and University of Michigan Health-West announced a partnership to create scholarships for students in November.
Students have to finish a semester of GRCC's nursing program and can then apply for the scholarship, which would cover three semesters of tuition.
Recipients then commit to working at U-M Health-West for two years after completing their associate degree to become registered nurses.
