ROCKFORD (WOOD-AM) - Rockford Public Schools administrators say an offensive image that appeared on a website for the district's high school was a hoax.
Rockford High School Principal Tom Hosford says that a student manipulated computer code to create the temporary message, then took a screenshot and shared it.
"It contained a phrase that was very offensive," Hosford said.
Hosford said the search continues for the person who fabricated the post.
