Grand Rapids Public Schools will hold a school safety community forum on May 20.
The meeting will be held at GRPS University from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. and will address solutions after multiple students were found with guns in schools.
Organizers say they were already planning the forum when a 7-year-old was found with an unloaded gun at school last week.
Community members will be able to discuss school safety challenges and ways to keep students safe.
