Health systems and law enforcement hold National Drug Take Back Day twice a year to collect unwanted, unused prescription drugs.
The collection is a safe way to gather medications before they could wind up in the wrong hands.
The event will take place on Saturday with collection locations across the nation.
Priority Health collected over 300 pounds of medications at just three sites last April.
The Kent County Sheriff's Department and Grand Rapids Police will oversee the collection sites and donations will be anonymous.
