Nurses at Ascension Borgess Hospital have reached a tentative agreement with the hospital for a three-year contract.
The Michigan Nurses Association says the agreement includes average raises of 20.5 percent in the first year of the contract with RNs receiving an additional emergency personal day as well.
The full details of the contract will be released.
Union members had authorized their elected bargaining team to call for a strike if necessary on Tuesday.
