Election officials completed an audit of ballots cast in the August primary in Gaines Township on Tuesday.
Kent County Clerk Lisa Posthumus Lyons worked with other officials to check more than 800 paper ballots and the ballot tabulator rolls from Precinct 8.
The audit confirmed the results of the election.
Posthumus Lyons says there were a small number of discrepancies however they were not out of the ordinary.
The audit was called after a poll worker was accused of tampering with election records.
