Holland High School is ending its varsity football season early.
The school informed parents the team will play this week against Mona Shores and against Zeeland West on September 16 however that will mark the end of the season.
Athletic Director Blake Muller says there are so few upperclassmen on the team that sophomores were being pulled up to play on varsity.
Muller says there was a clear and physical development difference on the field.
The junior varsity season will continue.
