GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - A 43-year-old woman who worked in the Kent County Correctional Facility is being accused of engaging in sexual activity with an inmate that was receiving mental health services.
Theresa Simmons is facing a second-degree criminal sexual conduct charge.
Simmons was contracted through the Family Outreach Center to provide mental health services at the jail. She is not a county employee.
