A man is facing charges in connection to the death of his teenage brother.
Paul Byron Ferguson was arrested on Thursday and charged with first degree child abuse.
Last week, Shanda Vander Ark, his mother, was charged with open murder and first-degree child abuse for the death of 15-year-old Timothy Ferguson.
Muskegon County Prosecutor D.J. Hilson says through the course of the investigation, officials discovered Paul Ferguson may have had some culpability when it came to the death of his brother.
In court last week, prosecutors say Vander Ark denied Timothy food, poured hot sauce down his throat and placed him in an ice bath the day before he died.
Hilson says due to an ethical obligation he can't explain what Paul Ferguson did, however he says it will come out in court.
