A restaurant claiming to be the oldest in Muskegon County is getting new ownership.
Thrasher's Bear Lake Tavern is now owned by Ryan and Emily Leestma, the couple behind the $250 million Adelaide Pointe development.
The couple expects to invest $1.2 million in the purchase and addition to the restaurant.
The Leestmas say keeping the restaurant open is really important to them.
Hoby Thrasher owner the restaurant for six years before Ryan Leestma made his offer.
Thrasher says the Leestmas have reiterated they hardly want to change anything with the operations of the restaurant.
