Grand Rapids Police say a woman was shot in southwestern Grand Rapids on Thursday.
The incident happened in the 2300 block of Buchanan Avenue near Burton Street around 5:35 p.m.
GRPD Chief Eric Winstrom says the woman is in serious condition however she is expected to survive.
There is no information on what led up to the shooting.
Police say there is no one in custody.
