RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Retail giant Meijer has joined the growing list of retail chains that will require customers to wear face masks when shopping at any of its stores.
Meijer says its mandatory face mask policy will go into effect Monday, July 20 at all of its 253 locations throughout Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin, Indiana, Illinois and Kentucky.
Exemptions from wearing a mask are extended to customers with medical conditions that prevent them from wearing a face mask or covering are exempt.
With the move, Meijer now joins retailers like CVS, Kohl’s, Target and Walmart that have mandatory mask policies at all locations regardless of local and state regulations.
