KENTWOOD, Mich. -- Consumers Energy is reporting more than 1,300 power outages in the Kentwood area due to an equipment problem.
It was first posted on the Consumers Energy Outage Page online at 8:38 Wednesday morning. The impacted area is roughly between Jefferson and Kalamazoo avenues, and between 32nd and 52nd streets.
The utility company is estimating it will take until 2:45 p.m. to get all the lights back on.
You'll want to treat the impacted intersections as four-way stops.
Another outage affecting about 60 customers was reported in the Dorr area, just west of US-131 near the Allegan County/Kent County border. Power has since been restored there.
