CRYSTAL TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- The Michigan State Police say they are looking into whether a medical condition factored into a fatal head-on collision Tuesday morning in Montcalm County.
It happened just before 7 o'clock in Crystal Township.
Troopers said a car driven by 30-year-old Rusty Allan Nichols II was heading westbound on Stanton Road near Blackmer Road when it crossed into the eastbound lane and collided with a semi-truck.
Police say Nichols, who was from Stanton, died at the scene. The driver of the semi suffered minor injuries.
The investigation continues.
