Kent County Central Dispatch: Pedestrian struck by train in Wyoming

WYOMING, Mich. -- Wyoming Public Safety says a man suffered serious injuries when he was hit by a train around noon today in Wyoming.

They said in a news release early Monday afternoon that they do not know yet why he was on the railroad tracks.

Kent County Dispatch tells WOOD Radio News it involved a Grand Elk Railroad train. The incident occurred in the 58-hundred block of Clay Avenue, north of 60th Street.

Rail traffic has been temporarily shut down. in the area during the police investigation.
