MUSKEGON, Mich. -- There is no indication yet what started a fire at the Open Gates of Grace Church in Muskegon this morning.
Muskegon Public Safety says two people were rescued from the basement of the building at 1428 Terrace Street near Irwin Avenue.
Muskegon and Muskegon Heights firefighters were dispatched to the scene around 6:50 a.m. A firefighter said two people were unconscious when they were removed from the building. One was a 24-year-old woman who suffered significant burns. The other was a 36-year-old man who was revived by CPR at the scene and then taken to a hospital.
