CASCADE CHARTER TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- Cascade Charter Township says there will be more than 20,000 stuffed eggs at its Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday.

The hunt will get underway at 10 a.m. at Cascade Recreation Park AT 3810 Thornapple River Dr SE.

The free, family-friendly event itself will begin at 9 a.m. The Easter Bunny will be joined by some live bunnies, a deejay playing music and booths set up by community partners.

"We kind of do it in three zones, depending on age, so the big kids aren't running over the little kids," said Dan Zwick, the township's Parks & Facilities director.

He told WOOD Radio News in a telephone interview that the Easter Bunny - Peter Cottontail himself - will be participating, as well.

The 20,000 stuffed eggs will not all be the traditional colored eggs.

"We have some golden eggs that have some interesting stuff in them," Zwick said. "And then, we also put a lot of trinkets and things - like footballs, softballs, chalk - just kind of fun little things that the kids can go after, too."

The Cascade Township Fire Department will have a fire truck on display, as well.
