GRAND HAVEN, Mich. -- The Ottawa County Sheriff's Office says a 38-year-old Spring Lake man who had been employed at a school in Ferrysburg was video-arraigned Tuesday in connection with a sexual abuse case.
The OCSO says Charles Martin Freeman was charged with two counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct in the first degree. The alleged incident involving a female juvenile occurred in Spring Lake Township. Her age was not released. And police say Freeman has not been released from the Ottawa County Jail. His bond was denied.
Detectives say Freeman worked at the Walden Green Montessori School in an administrative role, and there is no indication that any sexual misconduct occurred there.
