MSP: Belding man dies in three-vehicle crash in Ronald Township

RONALD TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- Michigan State Police say a 72-year-old Belding man has died after a three-vehicle crash in Ionia County's Ronald Township.

Troopers from the Lakeview Post say it happened around 7 a.m. Wednesday on M-66 near Haysmer Road when the driver from Belding lost control and his vehicle veered into the northbound lanes, colliding with a pickup truck and then another vehicle.

The man's name had not been released at the time of this report. Three people in the other two vehicles were treated for minor injuries, per an MSP social media post:

The pickup truck was driven by a 44-year-old male from Orleans. The second northbound vehicle was driven by a 17-year-old female, with a 15-year-old female passenger. The remaining individuals were treated and released for minor injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
