Police in the city of Wyoming have arrested a 60-year-old man following a tense standoff. The incident began around 5:30 p.m. when police responded to reports of a man threatening construction workers with a rifle on Thorndyke Avenue SW. the suspect fired a shot before retreating into his home, prompting a lengthy negotiation process.
After several hours, the suspect exited the residence and was taken into custody without further incident. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. The Wyoming Police Department's Detectives and Forensic Services Unit are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the event.
